Cellulite Prevention – The common cosmetic problem among women
Cellulite is the term for formation of lumps and dimples in the skin. This condition is more common in women than in men. Almost 85% of women are suffering from this problem. It affects almost all age groups. Cellulite is typically considered to be a cosmetic problem rather than a health problem.
Cellulite is also known as orange peel skin or cottage cheese skin due to its mottled appearance and is usually found in thighs, hips and buttocks.
Cellulite occurs when subcutaneous fat deposits protrude through the connective tissue layer beneath the skin due to weak collagen fibers.
Excessive fat, toxins and hormones play a major role in cellulite formation.
The medical term for cellulite is gynoid lipodystrophy.
